King of My Domain

I haven't been many places in my short life but I think that is okay. The few places I have been in my life I have become very comfortable with. Case in point the bath tub (which is sometimes the kitchen sink). I like to chill here after a long day and think about what has happened or just talk with the parents. A lot happens to me in a day and some times I have to just sit back and relax. In the past few weeks I have gotten two sharp white things in my mouth (talk about painful...more on this later), visited some family, started to hold my own bottle and sitting up on my own.
Life used to be so simple when my parents did everything for me now that I am doing so much on my own life is way more complicated. Luckily some things are still simple, like a nice warm bath at the end of the day.

I have some 'splainin' to do!

So here it is. I come to you my Blog readers (if any of you are still out there) and ask for your forgiveness in my lack of posting lately. I could give you a million reasons why there have been a great lack of posts but I will just give you a few to explain myself. You see I'm young and had never experienced the thing they call the Holidays before. Everyone kept telling me they were busy but since I had never been through it before I was unprepared for it. Here is the basics of what happened....
1) I got really busy doing lots of family things
2) I neglected to post
3) I felt guilty about not posting
4) I didn't post because I felt so guilty about not posting
5) Vicious cycle continued on and on.....

Well today I'm stopping the vicious cycle. I will give you a preview of some of the post that I have been working on or have come up with ideas for so maybe you will begin to trust me again and want to follow my blog again. I also included some cute pictures of myself to hopefully make you hate me less for not posting.
So here are some post to come in the future (the not so distant future, I promise!)
*Holidays are Stressful
*My Hobbies (including a thing called letterboxing)
*New Tooth
*Helicopter Parenting: My thoughts
*The Church Nursery
*ADD: An epidemic
*Resolutions
*Grandma Visits
*Christmas: A 2 Part Series
*Supporting Myself
*An Epic Milestone

Follow the Yellow Brick Road

My mommy's favorite movie is the Wizard of OZ. She loved watching up with my grandpa (as she has told me). In honor of her love for the movie we dressed up like the Wizard of OZ characters. I must admit that I don't really know anything about the movie. Mommy says I am too young to really appreciate it. Though she promised me that some day I would get to see it. Grown ups have no appreciation for my intelligence. I mean come on people. I write my own blog (and have since I was just weeks old) I would think that would get you some respect but no.
I guess I will have to wait to see what it is they have dressed me up like. Maybe it's better I don't know how much they have embarrassed me! Though I will say that they are just as goofy looking as I am.
Here is the photo evidence of what happened.....

Buy Locally

This is my first opinion piece. When I started writing it, it was not my intention to really talk about my opinions but it ended up being that way. It is my opinion that everyone should buy produce at their local market. There is my opinion. Do with it what you will!
I believe this for several reasons.
1) my mommy and daddy told me to
2) It puts money into local families hands and
3) It is better for you and the economy all around.
4) I just personally think it is fun. My mommy straps me in and away we go. Looking at all the wonderful sights.

Here are some pictures of the farmers market. Here I am checking out the sweet potatoes at one of the stands. They are grown here locally in Greensboro and sold at the local Farmer's Market. My mommy and Daddy and I got some sweet potatoes to make some food for me. Yeah! I will let you know how it turns out.

Looking at all the pretty flowers they sell at the market. We are going to make some pretty flower beds at home. Once we have some more time. Here is the bounty of our morning at the market. We will be eating lots of yummy things from these fruits and veggies. I will get to have the potatoes and the squash and I think mommy and daddy are planning on having the cauliflower, eggplant, green beans, broccoli and the apples. So if you have a farmers market near you....you should visit it. It's fun.

Life is Hard

For those of you who fallow my blog and thats probably most of you that are reading this...lets face it thats why you are reading it, I apologize. It has been 10 whole days since I have written a blog post. Not acceptable. All I have to say in my defense is that life is hard. Really hard. You big people just don't know what my life is like. I have this toy that my mommy and daddy put me in and its really hard work. I jump up and down working really hard and I never seem to go anywhere. So I just gave up where I was.

Pumpkin Fail

Parents are a lot of work. They are never satisfied and always want to create moments. I mean why does every baby have to have pictures in front of a pumpkin? Is it some sort of right of passage that I take a cute picture in front of a round orange vegetable? For decades parents have been propping up their young children so they can have some sort of keepsake like every other parent. For decades babies have been the subject to this abuse and I Jacob Max Eddy will no longer stand for it. I have decided to take a stand. I therefor refuse to be pictured like some puppet next to the pumpkins. Here are pictures of my escapades and stand against baby cruelty. Cute picture....You want a cute picture hunh? Yeah right. Give up. I will not be subject to this.
I eventually won and mom gave up taking pictures of me and just decided to take pictures of the pretty pumpkins.
