Buy Locally

This is my first opinion piece. When I started writing it, it was not my intention to really talk about my opinions but it ended up being that way. It is my opinion that everyone should buy produce at their local market. There is my opinion. Do with it what you will!
I believe this for several reasons.
1) my mommy and daddy told me to
2) It puts money into local families hands and
3) It is better for you and the economy all around.
4) I just personally think it is fun. My mommy straps me in and away we go. Looking at all the wonderful sights.

Here are some pictures of the farmers market. Here I am checking out the sweet potatoes at one of the stands. They are grown here locally in Greensboro and sold at the local Farmer's Market. My mommy and Daddy and I got some sweet potatoes to make some food for me. Yeah! I will let you know how it turns out.

Looking at all the pretty flowers they sell at the market. We are going to make some pretty flower beds at home. Once we have some more time. Here is the bounty of our morning at the market. We will be eating lots of yummy things from these fruits and veggies. I will get to have the potatoes and the squash and I think mommy and daddy are planning on having the cauliflower, eggplant, green beans, broccoli and the apples. So if you have a farmers market near you....you should visit it. It's fun.

Life is Hard

For those of you who fallow my blog and thats probably most of you that are reading this...lets face it thats why you are reading it, I apologize. It has been 10 whole days since I have written a blog post. Not acceptable. All I have to say in my defense is that life is hard. Really hard. You big people just don't know what my life is like. I have this toy that my mommy and daddy put me in and its really hard work. I jump up and down working really hard and I never seem to go anywhere. So I just gave up where I was.

Pumpkin Fail

Parents are a lot of work. They are never satisfied and always want to create moments. I mean why does every baby have to have pictures in front of a pumpkin? Is it some sort of right of passage that I take a cute picture in front of a round orange vegetable? For decades parents have been propping up their young children so they can have some sort of keepsake like every other parent. For decades babies have been the subject to this abuse and I Jacob Max Eddy will no longer stand for it. I have decided to take a stand. I therefor refuse to be pictured like some puppet next to the pumpkins. Here are pictures of my escapades and stand against baby cruelty. Cute picture....You want a cute picture hunh? Yeah right. Give up. I will not be subject to this.
I eventually won and mom gave up taking pictures of me and just decided to take pictures of the pretty pumpkins.

Fall

I have noticed something lately. Its pretty crazy. I don't know if you all have noticed but its not as warm as it was before. When I wake up in the morning there is a little chill in the air....and you know what? I like it. I get to wear lots of warm and snugglie things. I also get to hide some of that extra chub in big polos and sweatshirts and cozy things. Any one with me on that one?

Happy Fall!

Birthdays and more Birthdays

There are a lot of important people in my life that have Birthdays this month. I wanted to post some pictures in honor of all those people. The first is a picture I took to send to my Grandpa in Maine for his Birthday. Though the Soxs maybe out of it this year, I have faith in them. And my parents have already told me no Yankee fans as girlfriends. They said anything but a Yankees fan. I think there is some history there. Redsox and Yankees must have some sort of thing going on. Guess I will learn more about that in the future. The following pictures are from another Birthday in the family in OCtober. Its only the 5th and there have been several important Birthdays in the family (and I hear another important one coming up soon). I went to my cousin Caleb's 4th Birthday this past weekend.
This is me sucking my thumb (all the cool kids do it). I was resting up before the big festivities.
This is me and my cousin Caleb. I'm looking down at all the cool toys he got for his Birthday. I may or may not have been looking for ways to make a great escape with all the loot. If he asks I have no comment.I smiled for the camera much better this time.
Thats Caleb with his Batman cake. It was blue on the inside. Everyone else at the party got to eat some but me. I feel kind of left out of all the festivities. They could have at least put that cool blue color in my bottle. Since their cake was blue.

So there is it is my celebration of other people's Birthdays in the past week. I know the last few months have all been about me so I am trying to focus on other people too so I'm not so selfish sounding all the time.
