Those Who Love Me: My Daddy

After some deep thought at the computer (as pictured in previous post), I have come up with something to write about. I am going to write about the important people in my life. I'm going to entitle the series "Those Who Love Me". Each post will be about one person in my life who loves me. Today I begin the series with a blog about my Dad.

The picture above is of my Dad and I one morning taking a nap. This was after a long night of hanging out. You can't tell from this picture but everyone calls me little Ray. His name is Ray incase you don't know my Dad. Apparently people didn't get the memo that my name isn't Ray or they just think that I look like him. I guess it's not that bad to look like him. I hope I can be like him too. In our short time together I have noticed several things about him as my Daddy...

1) He loves to hold me. He goes away for long periods of time (my mom refers to this time as work, I guess I will learn about this later) and when he comes home not matter how sleepy he looks he always holds me. I feel pretty lucky to have him want to be with me.
2) He loves to laugh. I have done some pretty funny things to my dad so far. I have dirtied 5 diapers in a row at 2 am, peed on my own face while he was changing me, peed on him, pooped on him and peed & pooped on him at the same time. Every time he never seems mad or cries, but instead laughs and usually runs and tells mommy with a smile on his face.
3) He loves my Mommy. When mommy is tired he changes and burps me. When mommy is hungry and feeding me, he brings her food. He takes care of her and she takes care of me. Its pretty cool.
4) We are going to have fun playing together. I can't do much yet, though I am working on it. Even though I am not that much fun, he still plays with me. He holds me and lets me kick my legs. Someday I bet he will teach me lots of other games.
5) He is proud to be my Dad. Whenever we go places and people ask him about being a Dad he says that he loves it. If they say how cute I am he just looks at me with pride and smiles. Its pretty cool to have someone be proud of you when you haven't done anything. I hope I can live up to his pride in me.
